Resettle™ aims to empower refugees to reach their full potential and to become confident, self-sufficient individuals in Australia

Resettle™ seeks to help refugees acquire the skills they need to integrate into Australian society through one on one mentoring. Volunteers from the broader community who have an interest in sharing their skills and knowledge will work with refugees according to the goals and aspirations of the latter group.

In addition to general companionship and friendship provided by mentors, they will also be trained to provide support in areas such as education, language, finding work and social activities. This program allows ordinary Australians to meaningfully support refugees by providing them with the best chance of adjusting to a new way of life, and flourish in their new community.

There are not enough accessible avenues to help refugees

Much of the Australian public feel compassion and want to help refugees but often can’t find effective avenues to do so. Donations are always needed, however they don’t help refugees become self-sufficient. Refugees can find it very challenging to find their feet in a new country, particularly in the early years. For them, there is a juxtaposition between a lack of understanding of Australian society and a set of personal cultural meanings that don’t necessarily work in Australia, which can lead to feelings of confusion, disorientation and vulnerability.

A mentorship program between refugees and ordinary Australians

Building personal relationships with refugees is one of the most effective ways to help them settle into a new country and culture. Refugees are entitled to the support that helps them find their feet as new Australians and eventually become full contributors to society. By bringing more ordinary Australians into direct contact with refugees, it can lead to a greater mutual understanding within the community and lay the groundwork for more generous and compassionate policy towards refugees.

The logo mark represents two worlds merging together

It is a reflection of refugees integrating into the Australian community. The teal colour is the hero of the brand, reflecting a sense of rejuvenation. All colours are complementary and soothing, reinforcing a sense of stability, security, and calm.
