A vinyl combining the association of three things – dendrochronology, the study of tree rings, topography, the arrangement of the natural and artificial physical features of an area, and typography, the design and selection of letter forms.

These three elements brought together create one distinct style of imagery of natural contour landscapes and unique curvatures. My direction was toward creating type that was inspired by the same pattern found in tree rings as well as aerial landscapes and topographic maps.

Each element in nature is distinctively individual and different, as well as the different contour lines and elevations inn topographic maps. Therefore, I sought to highlight the uniqueness of this by creating type that was engaging and visually different for each letter depending on the spacing and gaps.
